Genre-Blending Country Artist Matt Cooper Releases Road Anthem, ‘Home,’ for Thanksgiving Travel Season
Cooper’s Life-Affirming Debut Single, ‘Highs & Lows,’ Continues to Climb the Charts at U.S. Country Radio
NASHVILLE, TN (Nov. 21, 2025) – Genre-blending QHMG / Quartz Hill Records artist Matt Cooper today released a soul-stirring new road anthem, “Home,” just in time for the Thanksgiving travel season.
“Home” is an invitation for listeners to take stock of what truly matters in life, or to simply turn up the car stereo when driving home for the holidays. Straightforward and heart-plucking, the song’s anthemic chorus suggests that sometimes “Home” is all we really need.

Written solely by Cooper, who co-produced the track alongside rising Texas-born artist and producer Brooks Huntley, “Home” opens with an unglamorous description of life on the road. The sonically lonely verse serves in stark contrast to the driving, cinematic chorus that kicks in as Cooper shares his realization that, There ain’t no place like home.
“I wanted the song to feel like a movie,” says Cooper. “I love creating scenes with my lyrics, but I also love hiding a message in my songs. In ‘Home,’ I did that in the bridge, where I reflected on all the things I’d been chasing and realizing they didn’t make me happy.”
Casting aside those hollow victories, Cooper sings:
Bars, cars, and caviar
Shiny lights & old cigars
I don’t wanna gain the world
If it costs me to lose my heart
Take me home
Cause there ain’t no place like home
“Highs & Lows,” Cooper’s life-affirming debut single on Quartz Hill Records, has earned nearly 10 million streams to date, and skyrocketed to become the No. 1 Most Added Song at U.S Country Radio (Mediabase) out-of-the-box on Sept. 29. The single remained a Top 10 Most Added Song for five consecutive weeks, earning airplay from coast to coast, and continues to climb the charts. Cooper’s full music catalog has already surpassed 118 million total streams across platforms, and he’s amassed more than 1.6 million social media followers, including 25.8 million likes on TikTok alone.
Newly signed to WME, Cooper will play WITL 100.7 FM’s “Country Christmas Party” in Lansing, Michigan, on Dec. 9 and 99.5 The Wolf’s “Hot Country Nights” in Portland, Oregon, on Jan. 17. For a full list of tour dates as they are added, visit mattcoopermusic.com/tour.
