NASHVILLE, TN (July 14, 2025) – Quartz Hill Records, an imprint of Quartz Hill Music Group (QHMG), today announced the signing of singer, songwriter and producer Matt Cooper to its artist roster. Cooper is a genre-blending country artist whose fresh, compelling sound also features elements of Americana, roots-pop and faith-based music.

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Cooper’s multifaceted talent has taken him on a remarkable journey from sports and acting to the Nashville music scene. First inspired by his mom’s piano playing, he later transitioned to guitar and began writing songs as a college freshman, influenced by contemporary singer-songwriters like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Thomas Rhett. He has achieved major success as an independent artist, nearing 108 million lifetime streams to-date and amassing nearly 1.5 million social media followers. Cooper has racked up 25.7 million likes on TikTok and averages 12,000 likes per post on Instagram.

As a songwriter, Cooper has a deep passion for storytelling, imbuing authenticity and true emotion into every song he creates. His breakout hit, the solo-written “Ain’t Met Us Yet,” garnered more than 25 million streams on Spotify and debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes All Genre Singles Chart.

Cooper’s first Quartz Hill Records single, “Highs and Lows,” has already earned 5.8 million streams and will impact U.S. Country Radio on September 29. Cooper begins his first radio tour later this week.

This Friday (7/18), Cooper will release a new, stripped-back acoustic version of his first country radio single, “Highs and Lows,” along with an intimate new acoustic music video of the song.

“Highs & Lows” is a jaunty, mid-tempo, singalong story song that acknowledges life’s peaks and valleys while celebrating the strength we can find in each other and in faith. The song was a solo write for Cooper, who also co-produced the track alongside Texas-born rising artist and producer Brooks Huntley.
